Your Jewish Home on the Island
For over 85 years, the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center (MVHC) has been the home of Jewish spiritual, intellectual, and cultural life on Martha’s Vineyard. We are a welcoming and progressive Jewish congregation supporting one another as we learn, question and grow in the richness of Jewish tradition, Torah, and Mitzvot. We strive to apply values of justice, as described by the Prophets, to local and global issues alike.
We seek to promote Jewish and universal values of compassion and human dignity for all.
Join Us For Services

Our Community
There’s always something happening at MVHC! We invite you to get to know our community, get involved, and deepen your spiritual, cultural, and intellectual life.
Observe and celebrate the Jewish holidays at MVHC. Continue your traditions and make new ones!
Learning and experiencing our Jewish tradition is a joyful experience for our students.
We believe it is our responsibility to give back to the Vineyard community and beyond.
