A Prayer, 2 years from October 7th

Letter from the Rabbi

Dear Friends,

On the second anniversary of October 7, we remember those who were murdered in that horrific attack, those who are still in captivity, and those mourning and healing from the violence of that day.  As negotiations begin for a cease-fire and the return of the hostages, we pray for a speedy success.  We pray that our leaders will take courageous steps toward a new future.  And we join Rachel Goldberg Polin, in her plea on behalf of hostage families and the people of Gaza:

“Enough of the hostage families trying to convince the world that stealing our children is not an option. Enough of innocent people suffering from lack of resources: water, food, clothing, medical care. Enough of leaders who use their people as props.  It’s time for this excruciation to end.”

Ufros aleynu sukkat shelomecha

May God spread a Sukkah of Peace over all of us.
