Adjusted Winter Schedule for Shabbat Services on Martha’s Vineyard

As we look ahead with excitement to another beautiful winter on Martha’s Vineyard, the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center looks forward to gathering our Progressive Jewish community for meaningful prayer, song, fellowship and connection. MVHC is a welcoming Jewish Community offering Shabbat services, Jewish holidays, and rich Jewish life grounded in 80+ years of Jewish history on Martha’s Vineyard. Please note that there will be an adjusted schedule for upcoming Friday night services January thru March. Shabbat morning services will continue as usual every week, year round at 10:00 followed by Kiddush Lunch.

Adjusted Friday Night schedule December 2025 – January 2026

  • December 12: There will be no Friday night service. Join us for Shabbat morning service at 10:00 and Hanukkah Celebration Dec. 14th at 5:00.
  • December 19: Hanukkah Celebration and catered dinner at 5:30.
  • December 26: There will be no Friday night service. Join us for Shabbat morning service at 10:00
  • January 2: There will be no Friday night service. Join us for Shabbat morning service at 10:00.
  • January 9: Friday night service with special guest speaker, Emmy Award Winning Ricky Diamond from NBC Sports, on the upcoming Winter Olympics. Join us as usual for Shabbat morning service at 10:00.
  • January 16: We will be holding a special Interfaith Shabbat service in honor of civil rights leaders Dr. Marthin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. Also join us for Shabbat morning service co-led by our Rabbinic Intern Becca Heisler.
  • January 23: There will be no Friday night service. Join us for Shabbat morning service at 10:00.
  • January 30: Friday evening service led by Rabbinic Intern Becca Heisler. Also join us for weekly Shabbat morning service at 10:00.
