We warmly invite you to a Lehman Lecture: a thought-provoking and honest conversation with Peter Beinart. Peter has been an important voice in the Jewish community creating conversation about the moral, spiritual, political questions around October 7th and the aftermath in Gaza, which he explores in his latest book “Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning.”
His talk is an opportunity to hear one perspective on a topic that weighs on our hearts.
Rabbi Caryn Broitman will lead the conversation with Peter Beinart, and together we’ll explore the tensions, hopes, and responsibilities of leadership, community, and peoplehood in these difficult times. People will be invited to share written questions from different points of view in the second half of the program. All are welcome who are ready to listen and to share.
Peter Beinart is a contributing Opinion writer for The New York Times. He is a professor of journalism and political science at The Newmark School of Journalism at the City University of New York.
