All are welcome to a Lehman Lecture and film screening of Rabbi on the Block, followed by Q&A with the film Director, Brad Rothschild, and Rabbi Tamar Manasseh. Rabbi on the Block tells the story of Rabbi Tamar Manasseh, a deeply compassionate leader working to unite Black and Jewish communities on Chicago’s South Side. With one foot firmly in each of these two communities, Black Jews like Rabbi Manasseh are the natural bridge to help overcome decades of fear, misunderstanding, and lack of communication. This event is co-sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard Diversity Coalition and is the culminating event in their 4th Annual Truth & Joy Festival.
