MVHC members Kohenet Batya Diamond and Rabbi Lori Shaller host Rosh Chodesh Elul: A Women’s New Moon Celebration in Preparation for the Days of Awe.
9am – Intention Circle: we’ll prepare for the mikvah ritual with chanting, meditation, and teachings to ground us. This year you can expect more silence and introspection, more listening in.
Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in so that we can begin our circle together on time.
10am – Silent walk or drive to a private spot on Lake Tashmoo for mikvah (details below).
10:30 – Mikvah immersion. While it’s customary to immerse naked, you may wear whatever is comfortable for you!
11am – Back to Batya’s for potluck brunch.
