Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center is a vibrant and welcoming hub for Jewish life on the Island. Together, we nurture deeper connections to spirituality, cultural expression, and community. Guided by our progressive values, we intentionally cultivate a community rooted in the pursuit of social justice, mutual care, and collective responsibility. We take pride in fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every voice and tradition enriches our shared journey.
Your gift to our annual fund can be allocated where needed most, supporting year-round programming such as:
*If you are a member, please login to make your donation.
One of the best parts of the week is our community Kiddush Lunch following each Saturday morning service. We gather together to reflect and enjoy each other’s company. Your support makes it possible to provide access to everyone who wants to join us.
Members of our congregation provide financial support for our local Martha’s Vineyard community through the Island Tzedakah Fund. Donations made to the Fund stay on the Island and are granted to organizations addressing housing and food insecurity, progressive advocacy as well as individuals in need of support with medical expenses, caregiving and other home care assistance, heating bills, and other essentials. We also accept donations to the Global Tzedakah fund, which furthers our mission of justice and peace worldwide.
Our Rabbi, Caryn Broitman, is a thoughtful voice for our Jewish values at Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center and beyond. When you donate to her discretionary fund, the Rabbi can direct funds to social justice causes that are on her mind or MVHC programming that she is passionate about.
MVHC welcomes world-class musicians for our shabbat services and special events, but we can’t do it without your support.
This fund goes to support Jewish visionaries and talent all over the world.
Your gift will help our youngest community members attend camp in the Summer, a priceless experience that will last a lifetime.
Please include the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center in your estate planning. Legacy gifts of any size are always welcome. Call Sally Cohn at (508) 693-0745 to discuss your plan. Your gift helps us sustain all of our programming reflecting our deepest values. In these times of uncertainty, it is crucial that we maintain the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center for our future generations — L’Dor V’Dor.
“We support the Hebrew Center each year because it is an important part of our lives on the Vineyard – and not only during the summer months. The Center leads by example and is an integral part of the greater Jewish community on the island. When private advice and spiritual guidance are sought, the doors of the Hebrew Center are always open.”
